This was the ideal opportunity for us to dress up in clothes indicative and representative of our favourite era and to also help raise much needed funds for one of our local charities close to both our hearts.
An afternoon adventure transported us to a wonderful marquee based in the grounds of Greenock Cricket Club. We indulged in one of our preferred pastimes of afternoon tea while listening to beautiful music played by a string quartet called Pure Dynamic Strings. All this was with the company of our gorgeous friends.
After our indulgence of cakes, tea and wine we made our departure and took the late afternoon train (unfortunately not The Orient Express) to Glasgow to pick up Robert from The Glasgow Comic Con.
We managed to slip into the historical and decedent Grand Central Hotel for one quick cocktail before 'The Joker' (Robert) summoned us!!
We received incredibly odd stares, the contrast of us dressed in our finery and accompanied by 'The Joker'. Talk about cramping your style!! We'll I'm sure you can imagine the scene!!!
To top off our day we met a group of lovely girls from Newcastle who were very complimentary about our attire and asked us to pose for some pictures.
A heady day of afternoon tea and cocktails was ended with Kir Royale. What a fabulous way to finish a wonderful day.
Thank you for taking the time to read our little blog. We hope you liked it. We would love to hear what you think
